Leather LARP armor
I was a vegetarian for 5 years and still usually eat vegetarian. I avoid leather armor whenever possible because there are alternatives - why kill animals when you don't have to? Still, pretty much all armor comes with leather straps or something so we avoid it as much as we can but we don't go crazy. But if you prefer wearing dead animals to the alternatives, every LARP I know of has a few people that do leatherwork. I have seen and know people who wear leather armor from this store, and they are happy with the quality. It does look good, but I've never worn it.
Leather armor is also convenient in that it fits more snugly than metal armor. I have steel bracers, but it's a bit of work to keep them from shifting on my arm. Most LARPers prefer leather bracers.
Most LARPs will give you more armor points for thicker leather and/or studded leather. Studded leather has the added benefit of looking very cool when it's done right.
